Arizona acquisition adds 24th processing facility to support LES National Network of 54 branches
DALLAS, Texas, and PHOENIX, Arizona: December 21, 2017 – Liquid Environmental Solutions (LES) announced that effective today, the company has acquired the assets of privately held A-1 Restaurant Services, a leading provider of grease trap services and used cooking oil recycling in Arizona. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
A-1, based in Phoenix expands LES capacity to serve customer locations throughout Arizona with the addition of a large customer network and treatment facility dedicated to grease trap waste and Used Cooking Oil processing.
LES President and Chief Operating Officer Gene Cookson commented: “It’s a pleasure to welcome A-1 Restaurant Services’ team of professionals as well as their loyal customers to LES. A-1’s liquid waste processing center in Phoenix – which is now LES’ 24th permitted facility coast to coast – significantly increases our capacity to process non-hazardous wastewater in Arizona. It expands our capacity to recover environmentally sustainable fats and oils from our customer’s waste streams and frees up needed capacity for non-hazardous industrial wastewaters accepted by our legacy LES West Phoenix Facility, such as oily wastewater, car wash waste and industrial process waters that we receive from markets throughout the Southwest.”
Alan Viterbi, CEO and co-founder of LES also commented: “With the acquisition of A-1, LES expands our environmental commitment to Arizona and in particular to the great City of Phoenix. We have a long history of success working with State and Local regulators to protect Arizona’s wastewater infrastructure and have now doubled the treatment resources at our customer’s disposal. The way we see it, we’ve doubled our resources and our commitment to The Grand Canyon State for LES Four Pillars of Commitment: to the Environment, Safety and Compliance, Customer Service and Continuous Improvement.”
