Treatable Waste Streams
Liquid Environmental Solutions wastewater treatment facilities can process the following waste streams in one or more of our locations:
Type A Wastes: wastes generated from a domestic, industrial or non-industrial activity involving the temporary storage or treatment of human wastes.
Type B Wastes: animal or vegetable grease wastes from grease traps or interceptors from facilities engaged in food service activities.
- We require the following in order to accept Type A-B Wastes:
- Liquid Environmental Solutions Waste Profile Form
(Liquid Environmental Solutions does not require a sample of these wastes for pre-approval but does perform pre-screening testing upon delivery prior to being accepted)
Type C Wastes: sand, grit and lint trap wastes from a commercial or industrial activity.
- We require the following in order to accept Type C - F Wastes:
- Liquid Environmental Solutions Waste Profile Form
Representative one-liter sample of the waste for pre-approval testing by Liquid Environmental Solutions's on-site laboratory. Pre-approval testing is generally completed within 24-hours of receiving the sample.
(Any waste submitted for pre-approval which exhibits testing results that exceed the total and dissolved limits of our waste acceptance criteria are initially rejected and are required to undergo Toxic Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) testing by a state certified laboratory. The TCLP test results must show concentrations which are below the limits established for TCLP. The sample must also pass treatability testing performed in Liquid Environmental Solutions' on-site laboratory to establish the waste's compatibility with the treatment system.)
Type D Wastes: non-hazardous wastes from a non-industrial, non-food grade process or activity that results from an unusual event or spill including groundwater or rainwater contaminated as a result of the unusual event.
Type E/F Wastes: non-hazardous wastes not identified above, including groundwater or rainwater contaminated through contact with the waste. Examples include: wastewaters contaminated with oil, anti-freeze, latex, water soluble paints or inks, off-spec food products and municipal solid waste landfill leachate. Also included are wet acid gas scrubber solutions, process rinse waters and wastes produced or manufactured by a process not subject to federal categorical standards.
